R-301 Carbine
R-301 (Apex Mobile) |
One of the most popular and widely used assault rifles, it has everything for mid-range, aim assist, high fire rate, damage, etc. Being good for the mid-range is also compatible for short-range due to its high fire rate and hip-fire accuracy. With 55 hip-fire accuracy, this gun in close range can be competitive even for R-99 like fire rate monster whose hip fire precision is 50. It used light (Brown) ammo.

LMG
LMGs are large magazine size mid-range guns in Apex Legends Mobile. There are 3 currently and as of now (Soft Launch Phase) the spitfire is available on the supply pod only.
Spitfire
Spitfire (Apex Mobile) |
Spitfire is in supply pod currently as of the soft launch going on. Earlier on the previous closed betas of Apex Legends Mobile this gun was available for ground loot. When it comes to high magazine size with stability spitfire is the king, another high magazine size gun is Devotion which has very high recoil. Spitfire is kind of jack of all but master of none. Can keep feeding bullets until the enemy is knocked and even fire further, while the overall DPS is on the higher side, it's quite a beast for this purpose for short to midrange, where short-range fighting with it requires dodging opponent bullets with obstacles or movement.

L-Star
L-Star (Apex Mobile) |
Another Energy ammo gun with some special capabilities, this gun has no re-load means, you can fire for all of your energy, sound fun for some cases, while this gun has a feel like a shotgun in close and while long-range with 3x fire with accuracy and recoil being low but keep in mind that this fire plasma travels slower than regular bullets.
Aim Assist - Decent
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Good
Long Range - Decent
Short Range - Good
Devotion
Devotion (Apex Mobile) |
If you notice in the table of all guns stats and comparison above, the devotion has the highest DPS there, and that is for good reason, where higher DPS guns come close around 200, this gun DPS scores around massive 250 but if it sounds like heaven, there are some catches. Devotion being charged rifle takes time to start a fire but not as much as Havoc and then that can be reduced with turbocharger hop-up. The next catch is that it starts with a slow fire rate and then rapidly the fire rate is accelerated heavily so the end result overall DPS is very high to support that it also has high magazine capacity. It uses energy ammo.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Hard
Mid Range - Good
Long Range - Decent
Short Range - Bad
Pistols
High mobility, fast switch time & fast ADS, etc are the specialties of pistols in Apex Mobile, unlike other games, developers made these pistols useful as well at least wingman and RE-45 for mobile.
P2020
P2020 (Apex Mobile) |
P2020 needed a boost and it was buffed during the soft launch phase. Easily can be considered as one of the worst guns in Apex Legends Mobile. On PC still, you can click faster to get a higher DPS with this gun but on mobile that's not the way, it is worth it. Rather, I like the RE-45, another pistol. Still, in the early game, you can switch from other guns and finish the enemy quickly can be one useful thing with it.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Bad
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Decent
RE-45
RE-45 (Apex Mobile) |
I love this gun, being a pistol you get all the benefits of high mobility, high switch/ ADS rates along with decent overall DPS. DPS is not that high like R-99 but it has some aim assist, unlike R-99. Ask me, I love to run with this pistol in hand with octane since the very first beta of Apex Mobile. It uses light ammo.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Bad
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Good
Wingman
Wingman (Apex Mobile) |
The last pistol on the list. Wingman is widely used on pc but when it comes to mobile this pistol doesn’t deliver the same way, aim assist is one of the reasons among them, while you still can get some decent hits, and when it hits it take away that 45 damage from the body apart from that it really can’t compete with other guns unless you’re able to keep dodging opponent bullets and feed yours that the whole purpose of this gun anyway, being a pistol and having high mobility. It uses heavy ammo.
Aim Assist - Bad
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Decent
Long Range - Decent
Short Range - Bad
Shotguns
Peacekeeper
Peacekeeper (Apex Mobile) |
Another Supply pod weapon in Apex Legends Mobile as of soft launch. It’s a shotgun with a good scope for short to even mid-range with scope. Other than that overall DPS is even lower than Mastiff as you can see in the above table. The bullet hit pattern is better than Mastiff though.
Aim Assist - Yes
Recoil Counter - NA
Mid Range - Decent
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Good
Mozambique
Mozambique (Apex Mobile) |
Not just the least preferable shotgun but one of the least useful guns in Apex Legends. Players don't want to use it and that’s for good reason. Damage is low, DPS among the lowest. This gun among with P2020 in Apex Mobile easily can be blamed if you lose the early game, this makes a good excuse 🤣
Aim Assist - Yes
Recoil Counter - NA
Mid Range - Bad
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Decent
Eva-8
Eva-8 (Apex Mobile) |
Higher fire rate than widely used shotgun Mastiff comes with lower base damage compared to Mastiff. While Mastiff has single line pellets, Eva-8 has round-shaped. As you can see in the above table even with a higher fire rate Eva can’t compete with Mastiff when it comes to overall DPS, slightly low but the positive point is that with Eva-8 you might be able to hit some while miss some, mastiff on the hand require accuracy at aiming.
Aim Assist - Yes
Recoil Counter - NA
Mid Range - Bad
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Good
Mastiff
Mastiff (Apex Mobile) |
Most popular shotgun in Apex Mobile and that’s for good reasons, base damage is very high although the fire rate is low, has a high reload time but that is worth it. Since the second hit takes time after the first hit, it requires good aiming, missing means wait time. While this gun can be a good weapon in close range with movements and/or hiding behind obstacles.
Aim Assist - Yes
Recoil Counter - NA
Mid Range - Bad
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Very Good
SMG
SMGs are best for short-range and can be also used for midranges.
R-99
R-99 (Apex Mobile) |
The best at fire rate, with a massive 1k fire rate but remember damage is low so overall DPS is still slightly behind Assault Riffle like R-301 and Flatline yet in close range fight these assault rifles can’t compete with R-99. Aim assist is another factor where R-99 is hard to use but in very close range fights aim assist is not really a very decisive factor. Also, it eats up bullets pretty quickly so you need to stock up light ammo if you wanna use it, in one sentence - A beast but hard to handle.
Aim Assist - Bad
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Decent
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Very Good
Alternator
Alternator (Apex Mobile) |
An SMG is more focused on mid-range fights, DPS is 150 which is on the low side among Assault and SMGs but what it has - is good aim assist for mid-range, higher base damage, and simple recoil control. Neither master at short to mid-range but usable at both.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Good
Mid Range - Decent
Long Range - Bad
Short Range - Decent
Prowler
Prowler (Apex Mobile) |
Like Hemlok assault rifle, prowler is a burst weapon but unlike hemlock, it is 5 hit burst which means, it fires 5 bullets then slight time interval than again 5 bullets unless the magazine is empty. For this reason for some players, this gun is quite attractive. Although overall DPS is still behind Flatline / R-301 but on the high side. Another plus point is the accuracy and recoil control. It uses heavy ammo.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Very Good
Mid Range - Good
Long Range - Decent
Short Range - Good
Volt
Vold (Apex Mobile) |
An energy weapon that doesn’t require charging time. Volt is a good SMG overall that has high DPS, high base damage, and good aim assist. One of the strong points is the hip-fire accuracy of this gun, which is pretty high, during the soft launch phase this hip-fire accuracy was nerfed yet it’s on the high side.
Aim Assist - Good
Recoil Counter - Very Good
Mid Range - Good
Long Range - Decent
Short Range - Good
